Felipe Muhr (1986) is a visual artist and comics researcher. As an artist, he has developed an investigation based on an expanded notion of drawing and its narrative possibilities, including paintings, comics and installations. He also teaches drawing and works as an illustrator for magazines, educational textbooks and public museums.
Felipe holds a degree in Fine Arts from Pontificia Universidad Católica (CL), an MFA in Illustration from FIT, State University of NY (US), and an Advanced Master in Artistic Research at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerp (BE). In 2022 he graduated from the post-academic HISK program in Ghent.
He curated the show on comics periodicals “Issue Zero: Reading the Van Passen Collection” at KIOSK, Ghent (2023), and since 2024 he has been a doctoral student at KU Leuven and UGent, working on the FWO-funded project “Reanimating Morgue Files: A Media Archeology of Reference Collections”.
