Lou Braibant is a graduate student in English Linguistics and Literature at UGent and a student in the Advanced Master’s in Literary Studies (interuniversity).
Lou’s research interests lie in Tolkien studies, intermedial studies, and ecocriticism. As part of his first master’s degree, he is finishing his thesis on an analysis of “art” in Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven. As part of his internship, he will prepare an article on colour configurations in Nora Krug’s graphic novelĀ Heimat from a trauma perspective and start his second thesis focusing on novel(-to-film)-to-comics adaptations of J. R. R. Tolkien’s works.
